Honouring the Guide Who Helped Me Rise: A Note of Gratitude to My Coach, AML @aml-AccountabilityCoaching

Life doesn’t always feel steady. Sometimes we walk through seasons that shake us, stretch us, and demand a strength we’re not sure we have. And while my life is not yet in a place of complete stability, I’ve learned that even in the in-between, there is room to pause and acknowledge the people who helped us stand when standing felt impossible. Today, I want to honour someone who played a pivotal role in one of the most challenging periods of my journey  my coach, AML.

A Coach Who Shows Up With Consistency and Heart

When I look back at the path I’ve walked, I can clearly see the impact of his persistence. Through his unwavering accountability sessions and his dedication to his craft, AML became a steady anchor for me at a time when everything around me was shifting. He didn’t just coach he showed up. With intention. With discipline. With a level of commitment that reminded me of a saying from back home, “Old soldier never dies.” In that sense, he embodies the kind of resilience that doesn’t fade with time. It strengthens. It sharpens. It teaches.

Guidance, But Also Responsibility

One of the greatest lessons he reinforced is that while a coach can walk with you, they cannot walk for you. AML guided me, challenged me, and pushed me toward the strongest version of myself  but he also reminded me of the responsibility I carry as an individual. At some point, you must decide to face your situation. No matter how overwhelming it feels, you have to confront it. You have to stand. You have to choose courage even when everything in you wants to retreat. Because the truth is simple but powerful, Your problem is not the pilot you are.

Becoming the Pilot of My Own Life

This season taught me how essential it is to reclaim the driver’s seat. Life will always offer storms, setbacks, and moments when the ground doesn’t feel solid beneath your feet. But what defines you is how willing you are to rise, adjust your wings, and continue moving forward. And for helping me rediscover that strength, I’m deeply grateful.

A Final Word

To my coach, AML thank you. Thank you for your persistence. Thank you for your accountability. Thank you for walking with me during one of my most difficult seasons. Your dedication helped me step back into myself, steady my perspective, and remember that even in chaos, purpose is still present.

To anyone reading this: Find the guides who walk with intention, but don’t forget the courage that only you can bring. Your situation may be tough, but never forget you are the pilot.
